After studying for 3 years at Edinburgh’s Napier university, Fiona acquired a BSc degree in Complementary Therapies, specialising in Reflexology. Fiona is full member of the Association of Reflexologists.
Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing. It can also help alleviate specific ailments i.e headaches, hormonal imbalance and anxiety.
It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body and reflexologists work these points and areas. Here at Glam we focus on the feet and face which are both extremely relaxing in their own right, plus both areas have holistic healing properties.
Reflexology is a therapy which can be received by anyone at any age, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care, and everyone in between. This can include infertility issues, pregnancy and chronic pain. However, there may occasionally be times when it is not suitable to provide a treatment. Please do get in touch and we can discuss individual circumstances.
Reflexology is a very individual treatment which is tailored to you as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing. It creates a balanced, holistic environment to allow the body to heal and regenerate. Fantastic as a one of treatment however the benefits are powerful if used as a course of treatments.
